HIVMA and RWMPC's Recommendations for Strengthening the National HIV/AIDS Strategy
HIVMA and the RWMPC developed recommendations for strengthening the access to care component of the National HIV/AIDS Strategy (NHAS) and its accompanying implementation plan.
Key recommendations include:
- Sustaining the state-of-the art HIV care system developed with Ryan White funding by developing reimbursement mechanisms that
- Supporting comprehensive, coordinated medical home care
- Reducing barriers to implementing routine HIV screening and linkage to care, including provider stigma
- Supporting clinical training programs at Ryan White Part C grantee sites
- Facilitating the Integration of the Ryan White Grantee HIV Medical Home Programs into the Reformed Health System
- Ensuring that the three central goals of the NHAS become the guideposts for federal domestic HIV/AIDS-related research planning and that the national HIV/AIDS research agenda is coordinated across all federal agencies and research disciplines
