    About the Ryan White Medical Providers Coalition

    The Ryan White Medical Providers Coalition (RWMPC) was created to support Ryan White Part C medical providers in delivering quality HIV care to their patients. Ryan White medical providers have joined forces to address critical policy and program issues that affect their ability to deliver HIV care and treatment in communities across the country.

    World AIDS Day Statement

    Today on World AIDS Day, the Ryan White Medical Providers Coalition commends President Barack Obama, Health and Human Services Secretary Kathleen Sebelius, and Jeff Crowley, Director of the Office of National AIDS Policy, for committing an additional $50 million to expand access to HIV/AIDS medication and treatment.

    HIVMA and RWMPC Urge Policymakers to Support Comprehensive HIV Care

    HIVMA and the RWMPC sent their Essential Components of Effective HIV Care policy paper to key policymakers urging them to expand access to the HIV care model developed by the Ryan White program (and others) as HIV care capacity is expanded under the Affordable Care Act and the National HIV/AIDS Strategy.

    HIVMA and the Ryan White Medical Providers Coalition (RWMPC) developed a paper describing the ideal HIV care model and calling for innovative financing and continued public health funding to support this care and expand it.

    August 02, 2011 (Washington, DC) -- Congress has outlined a framework for enacting major cuts to the federal budget over the next decade that could have far reaching consequences for people living with, and at risk for, HIV infection here and abroad.  We urge members of Congress to seriously consider the human impact of the funding and policy decisions that they will be making in the coming months.
