This award provides funding for outstanding research in vaccine development, either through clinical or laboratory investigation. The candidate must have a demonstrated commitment to vaccinology as a career, and must be conducting research or working in a recognized and accredited US institution of higher learning or in a government agency.
Candidates for Young Investigator Awards must have a medical or equivalent doctoral level degree, and should have completed an accredited infectious diseases fellowship within the last four years.
This award is offered in conjunction with the National Foundation for Infectious Diseases.
Award Amount: (1) Two-year award of $60,000 ($30,000 a year for two years)
Please note: The Sunshine Act requires that Pfizer report any direct/indirect funding to US licensed physicians. Award winners of the Pfizer Young Investigator Award in Vaccine Development will be included in Pfizer’s mandatory reporting to Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS).
