Senate budget bill puts lives at risk
The Senate passage of its costly budget reconciliation bill will leave millions of Americans — including hundreds of thousands of people with HIV — bracing for the loss of their health care coverage due to the slashing of the Medicaid program by nearly a trillion dollars. The consequences of losing access to vital HIV treatment or prevention services can be the difference between life and death for people who depend on them.
There’s still time for members of Congress to stand up for their constituents —children, families, older adults and people with chronic conditions like HIV for whom Medicaid is a lifeline. Reject this bill that puts American lives at risk.
