Reconciliation bill threatens health of people with HIV

Medicaid is a lifeline for many people with HIV, providing them with access to care and treatment that helps them live healthy lives. If the House bill that is up for debate is enacted, it will strip health coverage away from many people with HIV.
Imposing administrative hurdles and fees for low-income people with HIV will delay treatment, leading to poor health and increasing overall costs to the health care system.
We call on Congress not to take vital health care coverage away from people with HIV and other low-income Americans.
