The HIV Clinical Fellowship is a joint program of HIVMA and the IDSA Foundation. The program supports non-infectious diseases physicians with gaining HIV clinical experience working with medically underserved patient populations. The goal of the program is to boost the number physicians providing HIV care with a focus on Black/African American or Latinx/Hispanic physicians given the disproportionate impact of the HIV epidemic on these populations. The IDSA Foundation and HIVMA typically award grants to support one-year of HIV clinical training to up to two fellows per year.
